In testing the Sociable widget I have come across a small bug which means that anyone selecting the StumbleUpon icon will be sent to a 404 page as the url created is slightly incorrect…

Getting started with WordPress

A host of advice, tutorials and widgets can be found on the internet for WordPress. There seems to be so much that it’s difficult to decide where to look and who to trust. So the road to a decent looking blog and a useful set of tools is already looking like it will take longer than expected.

So far I have altered the permalink settings, added a whole load of XML-RPC Ping Services and taken a look at a number of widgets that look promising… and at some point I need to change the default theme to something more suitable.

A new beginning…

Having never even written a personal diary before, the concept of blogging to the world seems somewhat overwhelming. Added to this, using Wordpress is going to be a great learning experience too.

So why I am doing this?

I’ve asked myself this question a number of times since coming up with the idea. In short, I hope it will help others starting down the affiliate route to learn from my successes and mistakes; learn with me the best resources around to help with affiliate marketing and above all, to have fun along the way.
